Specialties

  • Image description shows a spray painting on a rough, white wall, of bright colors including aqua blue, pink, and yellow, and black. The paining is of a human face from the nose to the hairline. The eyes are gazing straight forward.

    Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neuro-physiological sources of emotional and physical pain, and unhealthy coping mechanisms associated with trauma and other stressors. It allows you to channel the healthy "head" knowledge you possess to transform debilitating traumatic memories and the negative beliefs you feel in relation to the incident(s). This modality may also help with reaching goals, releasing expectations, and even processing dreams.

  • Image description is a black and white photo of a seemingly caucasian person from the shoulders up with semi-transparent hands covering their eyes, ears, and mouth.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed Parts Work

With IFS Informed parts work, the goal is that you will achieve trauma resolution by recognizing exiled parts and giving these parts a voice. This process will help develop an embodied sense of self that can compassionately hold your emotions, vulnerable sensations, and young parts of self in a way that is not harmful to you or others.

  • Image description shows a black person from behind. The person is sitting on a black yoga mat, cross legged, arms stretched up and clasping, leaning over to the left side. The person has short hair, a dark teal long sleeve shirt, and light blue pants

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)

TCTSY employs physical forms and movements, though, the emphasis is not on the external expression or appearance (i.e. doing it "right"), or receiving the approval of an external authority. Rather, the focus is on your internal experience. With this approach, the power resides within you, not the therapist/facilitator. Further, by focusing on the felt sense of the body to inform choice-making, TCTSY allows you to restore your connection of mind and body and cultivate a sense of agency that is often compromised as a result of trauma.

  • Image description shows two hands, palms up, touching at the pinkies and side hands, with a yellow flower in the palms.

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

So often we live our lives guided by our anxious or depressive thoughts and find ourselves not feeling fulfilled. With ACT, you will learn how to observe your thoughts without living by them. You will learn to identify what you want your life to be about and take steps to make that happen.

Investment Options

Private Pay

Session fee will be charged at the time of each appointment. A valid debit/credit card is securely placed on file at the time of scheduling for all billing options listed above. You are welcome to pay with cash, or check, a valid credit card will still be kept on file. Insurance in not accepted.

HSA/FSA

I am able to accept Health Savings Accounts and Flex Savings Accounts through any insurance. However, I will need a valid credit card on file for disallowed charges through the HSA/FSA (late cancel and no show fees, or other charges your insurance deems as non-reimbursable). It is still within the discretion of your insurance to allow these charges. A valid HSA/FSA card is securely placed on file at the time of scheduling for all billing options listed above.

Out-of-Network

Some insurances will reimburse you for out-of-pocket costs for out-of-network providers. Please ask your insurance provider if they support this; if so, I can provide monthly statements (SuperBills) to you to submit to your insurance in order for you to possibly get reimbursed (amount varies by insurance plan). You will still pay the full fee to me at the time of the appointments. Please note, by utilizing this option, your insurance provider will still dictate a large part of your therapy and may recoup money they pay you.

Late Cancellation and No Shows

I charge the full fee for late cancellations (less than 24 hours before scheduled appointment or arriving more than 15 minutes late) and no show appointments.
